Spirit Encounters and How to Work With Them.
I am a firm believer in multiple dimensions and realities which is why I think it’s so important to talk about them. I constantly get clients that have these connections and assume they are going crazy! I think we need to create a safe place to talk and explore these experiences.
I think when we encounter a spirit it could be many things. A few examples are a soul in transition, a spirit in transition (intelligent spirit), an energetic imprint(residual spirit), another existing reality, otherworldly beings(galactic), or a portal.
Staying curious about what you are experiencing is so important because each one of these situations will require something different.
Spirit in Transition
The most common encounter you often hear about is with a spirit in transition. This is usually what we think of when we see or hear a ghost. A spirit in transition can be a great channel for communication but we can be quite scary. You can encourage the spirit to move realms if it’s ready. You can do this by asking the spirit what it wants or needs. It likely wants your assistance with one last mission and your energy is open to connect with them. Once you have that information you can encourage the soul to continue onwards with its journey.
Soul in Transition
A soul in transition is a little different. It doesn’t have earthy attachments like a spirit. It goes beyond our material world and often feels different than a spirit. Usually, souls won’t make contact with you physically. They will communicate with you on a telepathic level. This might look like thoughts or messages popping into your mind when connecting to their energy.
Working with a soul you will need to be in the astral realms. I usually talk to a soul the same way I do a spirit by asking what it needs and wants. Sometimes I journey with the soul through the Akashic or Oversoul (with permission of course.) I like to assist in any way I can from here in the earth realm. Have you ever seen the movie Soul? This is how I see the soul world.
Energetic imprints
An energetic imprint also known as a residual spirit happens when something traumatic happens. We often hear about this kind of energy with war sites. There is no consciousness there is just energy. Residual spirits need to be honored for their experience and energetically helped to get unstuck. This might look like an offering on the land, and an altar to honor what happened. You can also do energy work here to move the energy around and release it. Smoke, Fire, and Water are powerful at these locations and can be used in ceremonies. It may take several days, years, or lifetimes to completely move a residual spirit.
Out of this world
The most difficult to work with are alternative realities and otherworldly beings. It requires deep subconscious work and going beyond your ego self. I like to work with sound on this one. I believe sound is something that can travel beyond realities and into the galactic world.
I like to connect with my soul’s parallel universe often because this version of my soul may have energy I don’t have in this life. By tuning in to their experience and energy, I can harness some of those imprints for my own embodiment. For example, maybe in an alternative realm, I am a high-up CEO who uses my voice often and never doubts it. I can tune in with her, and gather all of the info and feelings I need to access this kind of energy in my own life.
If you want to connect with this kind of energy start with sound and subconscious work. Working with alternative realities and the galactic requires astral travel, usually practiced with meditation and channeling. To aid in your travels you can play with sound instruments like a singing bowl, or use sound frequency on your phone. This will allow you to travel and communicate more easily. Once you are there you can ask about why they are connecting, the message you need from them, and what it means for you on Earth.

Portals
Portals don’t need much work except for clearing the opening and closing of their space. You can’t change a portal opening but can choose when you allow it to enter your energy. You can do this by setting the intention when you want when you open it and a protection practice when you want to close it. I like using the four elements at portal locations: sage smoke for fire, feathers for air, salt for earth, and water for water.
